RSPCA Warrington, Halton & St Helens Branch

Slutchers Lane, Bank Quay, Warrington, WA1 1NA

Our opening times are:  12pm – 4pm daily except Tuesdays

The branch is the RSPCA animal adoption establishment for Warrington, Halton, St Helens and the surrounding areas.

The branch covers the whole of Warrington, Culcheth, Lymm, Stockton Heath, Halton, Frodsham, Helsby, and St Helens, Prescot, Knowsley and Rainford.

The branch provides:

  • treatment and care for animals brought in by RSPCA inspectors at our animal centre in Warrington and we try to find these animals loving new homes
  • veterinary treatment for people on pension and certain other benefits at our Runcorn clinic each Thurday afternoon
  • refuge for animals direct from the public, However this may not always be possible due to the lack of space. We operate a waiting list when necessary
  • adoption for dogs, cats, small animals, birds, plus the occasional pot-bellied pig, goat or sheep

The RSPCA Warrington, Halton & St Helens Branch is a semi-autonomous charity (Registered Charity Number 232259), which operates under the umbrella of the national RSPCA but does not receive any funding or subsidies from them, the government or the lottery.  All the money needed to fund the branch has to be raised locally through regular fund raising efforts by the branch committee and volunteers.Centre is managed by Chris Walkden

The Centre is managed by Chris Walkden (left) and her deputy Les Ravenscroft together with 6 full time staff and a number of volunteers who assist with dog walking, pre-homing checks and other duties.

Our website will help you to understand the work of this RSPCA branch - rescuing, adopting and caring for the welfare of animals within our area.
