Adopt An Animal Preston Animal Centre RSPCA Preston & District Branch is a separate Registered Charity. We get no funding from the Government or other sources. We rely on the generosity of the local people. It currently costs around £250,000 anually to run the Animal Centre. The Branch is run by a Committee of volunteers who are Trustees of the Branch funds. We are licensed to have a maximum of 90 dogs, cats plus rabbits and other small animals.

We take in stray dogs from the Council, unwanted animals from the public and cruelty cases from the Inspectorate. We have a non-destruction policy, unless the animal is extremely sick or dangerous. Our main goal is to take in unwanted animals and find them permanent loving homes; this is sometimes very difficult as they may already have behavioural problems, but we work very hard to address these before the animals leave us. Please remember it takes time for any animal to settle in to its new home, so please be patient. If you have any questions regarding your adopted pet or need additional advice please ring us. We will always try to help.
