REHOMING

This branch does not have an Animal Centre and is unable to accept unwanted animals from the public. Our role is to assist the RSPCA Inspectors and Animal Collection Officers who are dealing with abused and at-risk animals. These animals are cared for in private boarding establishments used by the branch. If you would like to meet our dogs or know more about them, then please call Rita on 07775 881220 and we can arrange for one of our volunteers to meet you at the kennels.

We also have cats available for rehoming through the Branch. Scroll to the end of the dog photographs for details, or call Pam on 01270 811013. (More about adopting animals...)

Dogs available for rehoming from the branch

TASH

Tash

(December 2008) TASH is a lively 20 month female Collie X, is great with children, loves other dogs and has lived in harmony with cats, rabbits and birds. Basically she has been exposed to most things and is good with all of them. She has had a couple of owners previously which is not ideal. She needs someone who is willing to take the time to train her to recall. She is house trained and sits and stays, but recall needs work. She is a loving little creature and adores a tummy rub. She really deserves someone to love and a place to call her own.

THOMAS

Thomas

(November 2008) This lovely young tri-colour English Bull Terrier is a "Death Row Dog" in that he was rescued in the nick of time from a Dog Pound just before he was due to be put to sleep because no-one wanted him. Why, we will never know because he is gorgeous. He is strong and will need an experienced owner, but he is loving with a sweet nature and after wrestling with him in the back of my car (to get him into a travel cage) I can vouch for his total lack of aggression. He is three years old and recently neutered and we would love to place him in a great home where he will be able to run around
and just be a dog.

FERN

Fern

(November 2008) FERN is a little black female, quite young and absolutely lovely, gentle, playful and very feminine. All she wants is a loving home where she can snuggle down on a favourite cushion and go to sleep.

SOOTY

Sooty

(November 2008) Another lovely black boy, a stray who we have called - wait for it - SOOTY! You can't say we are not original! We don't know a lot about this young man other than to say he is a youngster probably under 1 year. He is full of fun and thoroughly enjoys his daily visits from our Cat lady, Maureen, when he is groomed and fed tidbits and generally spoilt - well why not he deserves it. If you would like to spoil Sooty for the rest of his life, then give us a call. You can even change his name.

Adopting an animal from us

All our animals are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated prior to rehoming which is included in the adoption fee which is a small donation towards the cost of the above:

Dogs - £75           Cats - £50

The branch will carry out a home visit before you adopt an animal from us. We will discuss with you all the requirements of the pet you have chosen and it also an opportunity for you to ask questions. We follow RSPCA guidelines when rehoming our animals and on occasions we may have to say no.

For more information about rehoming a dog, please contact one of our local volunteers. You can either telephone 07817 360497 and leave a message if there is no answer, or email katwilliams111@yahoo.co.uk, remembering to include your name and address and telephone number.
